my 2002 chrysler PT cruiser engine keeps overheating?

its getting to the point where i have to constantly blast the heater to keep the temperature down. any mechanic types out there have any clues as to what could be going wrong?

When is the car overheating? Is it doing it in traffic or on the open road?

If it is overheating in traffic, and not doing so when the car is being driven at speed, it most likely is a failure of the electric cooling fan. The cooling fan only comes on when the temperature reaches a certain point. When the car is moving, the airflow through the radiator cools the temperature without assistance. When the car is moving slowly or stopped, the fan is needed to provide the airflow.

One easy way to check the fan is to turn the A/C on and see if the fan comes on. If it does not, either the fan motor is bad, the fan relay has failed or there is a power issue to the fan.

Good Starter Cruiser?

Hi I am going to start riding soon and I was wondering a good starter cruising bike? Many people will probably say the Honda Rebel 250 but I am not so sure because my friend just recently started riding and got a rebel and he is ab out 5'9 and his legs look ridiculously cramped up when he is riding almost to the point of looking funny now I am 6'1 and would most definitely not fit can anyone suggest something with a little more room but not too much power? and not the buell blast either lol

At 6'1" you will definitely not be happy on a Rebel. V-Star 650 or Shadow 750 come in a variety of styles and are solid bikes and readily available. For your first one, look for a used bike that's good mechanically and don't worry about cosmetic appearance so much. That way if you make a mistake and drop it (most of us do as newbies) you won't care so much about scratches or dings. Good luck and be safe - you have taken MSF course, yes? Or will soon?
