Does powerade zero help with hydration? EXERCISE...? TEN POINTS?

Before i exercise i drink about two cups of water, and during the workout is about the same...like running/circuits/strength ect...then after i eat something light and drink more water or tea-another 2-3 cups.

Should i drink gatorade or powerade on my tougher days? Some days i sweat loads, and its usually my circuit days of cardio/strength combos. I just tried some Powerade zero and although it claims no sugar/cals, i can read sucralose (art. sugar subs) and taste it so should i just stick with my water or get reg powerade?
I would probably only have about a cup of it anyway and go back to my water :)
I've heard about the milk, but i really just HATE milk! It has to be skim for me to handle the taste, would yogurt work? I love the greek yogurt with honey or fruit, i have that sometimes after a workout :)

Powerade Zero is better than water at rehydrating you, sure. It's still got the electrolytes, which will make you recover better than water.

However, on your hard days something like Gatorade, Powerade, or even G2 is better because of the calories needed to replenish your body.

Your plan of water before and during is good, just drink something more afterwards. It's been proven that chocolate milk is more effective in replenishing your muscles after a work-out than gatorade, so maybe try that.

I always come home from practice and have chocolate milk. The protein is really good for your rebuilding process and it goes down smooth.

A darker, more dramatic, and more polished affair than All Your Faded Things, Anna Oxygen's second album, This Is an Exercise, is just as fascinating as it is chilly and alienating. In her songs, Oxygen explores some of the same issues of authenticity, creation, and consumption that Tracy + the Plastics do, but with a sci-fi/fantasy bent, as song titles like "Fairy Quest" suggest. Certainly, the album sounds like synth pop as imagined by a replicant, or a lower-fi Laurie Anderson: at times, Oxygen sings surreal lyrics like "we wear fake pajamas" and "this is just a soggy reinvention of all the things I want to lose" in a deadpan so deeply frozen that almost any emotion could be projected onto it; at other times, her voice and the music are so dramatic that she seems like she's parodying the very notion of emotions. The overt quirkiness of All Your Faded Things is downplayed on this album, with the noticeable exception of "Mechanical Fish," a sketch that questions whether or not a real fish would have any more insight into itself than a manmade one. "Willow Song," meanwhile, surrounds its beautiful, gliding melody and Oxygen's ethereal vocals in very unnatural-sounding nature sounds. As cerebral as she is, Oxygen has a way with hooks and beats that comes to the fore late on This Is an Exercise, where the robotic groove of "Walk" and the aloofly mischievous "Psychic Rainbow" add a pulse to the album's brains. From the eerie-yet-danceable "R.R.N." to "Hold You," the delicately spooky lullaby that closes the album, on This Is an Exercise, Anna Oxygen excels at creating a unique, sometimes disturbing sonic world with an almost-palpable sense of atmosphere. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi Performers: Andy Gertz - Accordion; Melissa Collins - Cello; Anna Oxygen - Sequencing, Piano; Kitty Jenson - Vocals; Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn & Ginger Brooks Takahashi - Vocals

One Response to “Exercise Reg”

  1. We don't listen to conservative propaganda. Only brainwashed cons are "scared" about the people he surrounds himself with. The rest of us live in reality.
