Swim Snorkel Pool

New to cruising, want a relaxing vacation.?

While spending as little as we can, we have around $1000 but are saving more. Me and my mother(ages 28 and 58) are looking to go on a nice relaxing cruise. I don't want the party ships our main interests are the swimming pools and good spas, good food, and the best beaches and snorkeling at the best islands in the Caribbean. This will probably be in the fall Sept-Oct. We do want at least a week if not a few days more. I do not want to go to Mexico, Jamaica, or the Cayman Islands. We are mostly interested in the Easter or Southern Caribbean. Also we are looking into either Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Holland America, or Norwegian Cruise Line. What cruise line would be better and if you know of a good cruise that meets what we want let me know.

$1000. a piece or for both? If its for both, then I don't think you will find a 7+ day cruise for 2, for under $1000. But with that said, I think your best bet would be with Royal Caribbean, and go to the Virgin Islands / Bahamas / Puerto Rico. If you want to go to the southern Caribbean on a 7 day, you may have to leave out of Puerto Rico, which means flying down there and back. There are 10 day ones that leave from Miami, but I don't think you can get one for $1000. a piece.

Just so you know, Sept. is peak hurricane season, so you may want travel insurance also. And be prepared for your cruise leaving late and/or changing ports of call.

As far as a relaxing cruise goes, you can make it as relaxing as you want. That's no problem, just sit around the pool, or in the solarium, or around the main deck (very quiet there).
