Original Aqua How to remodel a bathroom with not much money?
We want to put our house up for sale but our bathroom upstairs is in sad shape. The shower liner is yellowed and old (and we have a window with a wood frame in our shower). The tub is aqua. The vanity is crumbling and the sink top's finish is worn off so it always looks dirty. The light fixture is outdated, ugly and broken. Above the sink is just a huge mirror. The toilet is actually two put together. The base is original (aqua) and the tank is white and doesn't have a lid (there is a board that goes across and actually makes a nice shelf. The wallpaper is falling off and dirty. There is a large hole in the wall where a towel bar use to be. The floor is pretty bad too. Both the door and linen closet door need to be replace. We really don't have much money (and by that I mean we have hundreds not thousands) to put into this. We don't know anyone in the trades and aren't handy ourselves. I don't even know where to start with this. Any suggestions?

First of all, I think you'll need to do some work. Do you have a realtor yet? He/she may be able to help you prioritize based on what YOUR MARKET expects, what trends and tastes are WHERE YOU LIVE. He/she probably also has a list of contractor friends who will 'help' you, ie, give you a decent price, get there quickly.
Here's where I would start: (low budget, must-do items)
1) Strip the wallpaper, fix the hole, paint in a neutral color.
Cost (diy) $50-75 for paint, brushes/rollers, spackle. (borrow a steamer if you can . . . )
2) Cover the floor with vinyl tile
Cost: (diy) $100 avg bath
Beyond this, I would definitely think about reglazing the tub and surround, based on how clean you are able to get the wall. I think you could get it done for $500-$1000. But as your realtor will tell you, you would probably get 100% back when you sell.

If you are a prog rock fan lured to this entry by that statement, beware: you may not want to go down this extremely noisy road. Then again, if you have been nurturing some curiosity regarding the extreme art of Merzbow, this may be the point of entry you were waiting for. This album ranks among the Lord of Japanoise's most accessible releases. It is just as headache-inducing and mind-numbingly harsh and loud as his other ones, but it constantly features a beat. Rhythm tracks have been lifted from prog rock anthems by the likes of Soft Machine and PFM -- but good luck identifying them. Comparable to other beat-driven Merzbow projects like Doors Open at 8 A.M. (that one a tribute to jazz drummers) and Merzbeat, Aqua Necromancer takes you on a ride through the underside of prog. How do you tell the value of an old bicycle?
My son has an old bike that was given to him. It's a Western Flyer, 10 speed man's bike, pale aqua blue in color and very light weight with skinny tires. I would guess it to be at least 20 years old, maybe older. Does anyone have any idea how to tell it's value? I know some people like to collect vintage bikes. It appears to be original and in good shape.
Western Flyer bikes are VERY old but their lightweights are not generally collectible. Their single speed balloon tired versions do have some value if in very good condition, and their really old stuff with "gas tanks" can bring a good sum.
It is few and far between that any old 10 speed has much value- there are a few Peugeots and some weird brands like Teledyne and Exxon that are collectible but these are extremely rare as most were broken.
Almost all Western Flyer lightweights were manufactured by Huffy or Murray depending on the model while later ones were imported directly from Asia. There were also some West German and Polish models. The Huffy/Murray versions- even in good shape- might bring $20 but probably less, while the Asian models are worth more as scrap metal. If you look on the frame somewhere near the crank you might see a date stamp (5-81, for example). If it has this stamp it is a Huffy. The Murray version is tougher to determine unless I could take a close look, and the Asian versions usually have a decal saying "Made in [China/Japan/Taiwan]
Small Aqua Slide Need ideas for covering small medicine cabinet opening.?
It is over my bathroom sink & has awful white plastic sliding doors. The doors come off. I'd like to either cover the doors so they look nicer or find another way to cover the opening that will look cute. My colors are aqua, brown, white & lime green. Thanks so much for any ideas!!!
If you want a quick cheap fix to just cover your existing doors I would look for a cute contact paper at a hard ware store or craft store. Or you could try using a spray adhesive to glue fabric over the plastic (but I don't know how well that will stay adhered with all the moisture of a bathroom). If you are feeling handy, you could find a small curtain rod and attach to the wall and hang a cafe size curtain over the area.

Right now the top half of my walls are a light purple and the bottom half is white. My carpet is an aguaish color(hoping to get new carpet). And my bed spread is purple. And the colors in my curtans/beads are orange,pink,purple,blue,and green. All lighter colors. And i have a bunk bed, but the bottom bunk can slide out. And my room is smaller.
I want to redo my room. I want to paint my room an aqua color. But i dont know if i should paint the top/bottom half like i have or if i should paint the longest wall in my room, all of it aqua and the rest white. What do you think?
And do you think all the colors would still go well if i painted the walls aqua? And i dont know what color i want to get for a bedspread. I dont want purple because thats what i have now, or blue. What color do you think would go best?

Okay- First, I would say to clear your color palette. You're working with a lot right now, and you need to start smaller. I would recommend painting the top portion of the wall, (where the purple is), aqua. I would only recommend this if there was some sort of wall molding separating the two colors. I feel that the white and blue together, gives off a fresh look, whereas the purple and blue seem to collide (they look too similar).
You did say cheap? Well, I don't know how well this will fit into your budget, but you did mention getting rid of the carpet. If there is wood floors already installed, then perfect! On the downside, you'll have to have them refinished, which is pricey.
Since your room is small, you want it to seem as fresh and bright as possible; (not blindingly bright, but a soft beachy bright). I would stick with white bedding, to pick up from the walls. You can add some aqua blue pillows, along with some soft yellow OR beige <--not both. I absolutely adore white shutters, but those are extremely pricey, so I would recommend faux wood window treatment, (white).
For the floors, you can search some internet sites or go to some local furniture stores (they usually carry area rugs in the back). I would recommend a shag area rug, one that doesn't shed as much. It's up to you to decide the color you want to pull into the rug. There may be too much white already, however the blue may be too much. You'll have to decide!
And for the furniture, I would say stick with lightly finished woods. Perhaps a broad iron bed would look good. Whichever you chose (the yellow or beige) I would do a valance in one of the colors.
The fun part is searching for all the little trinkets to accessorize. Make sure you assort all the colors from you walls, furnish, rug, bedding, etc., into these accessories. Mirrors, lamps, picture frames, desk accessories, are all great examples of how to spice up the room.
