Toy Bathing My friend was bathing his chihuaua and it passed out, is that normal? ?
He was bathing it for the first time, it's a toy chihuahua, probably only 5 lbs in weight, and it passed out, tongue hanging out and all. He thought it died so he started giving it CPR, but it just fainted from the fear of getting a bath. Is that normal?
Heck no this is not normal. Tell your friend to take is dog to the vet. Dogs just don't pass out.

I want to take my 15 month old swimming with me in a big pool so that I can get in with her (instead of just her kiddie pool). What is the best thing to help keep her safe? I have heard about swimsuits/wetsuits with flotation devices in them, and toddler lifejackets, but those start at around 2 years old. I will be holding he the whole time, but would like to feel a little more secure with her being in the water with me. Any advice?
They have swimsuits with pads in them that helps them float, or things like a raft for babies (it is best to look in the baby area for pool time stuff) you will find something. I think I had a floaty raft thing that had leg holes and it had mesh so she could play with the water, but through the mesh. Do not get the arm floaters though too young for those!

Beach Baby Pool Should a 3 month old baby be outside all day?
I have to go back to work and will be leaving my 3 month old baby with a nanny until 5pm. The nanny has children who are use to being outdoors for most of the day. She wants to take my son with her and her to kids to the parks, beach, pool, ect for a good portion of the day. Is it safe to have such a young baby outside in the summer for so long? is it unreasonable of me to want the nanny to stay home with my son?
If I were you, I would insist that she keep him in the shade at all times and make sure she's bringing plenty of bottles with her so he stays well- hydrated. As long as he's in the shade and has plenty to drink, it's totally fine for him to be outside all day. My youngest was outside all summer when he was an infant because his big sisters always wanted to be outside. If you're really worried, you can ask your doctor if it's safe for you to put sunscreen on him. usually the labels say 6 months and up, but we've used it on babies as young as 3 months (per doctor recommendation).
