Float Tube Swim
Being 30 weeks pregnant can I....?
My husband and I were thinking about going on a float trip the weekend of july 4th, but I will be almost 30 weeks pregnant by then. We were just talking about renting some tubes and floating, just wondering if this would be okay with me being that far along? Is it safe to swim while I am pregnant, like as far as my head being under the water and things like that? This is my first child, so I am just unsure about things I guess. Any input would be really helpful. Thanks ladies.
Congrats! About swimming , my doc said go for it as long as your cervix is closed and at 30 wks i'm sure your fine. I was around 36wks when they said no but they said a chlorinated pool was ok but to stay clear of lakes, ponds, and rivers b/c they contain bacteria. And being that far along i would stay to a pool if i were you.
As far as floating, i'd go for it as long as your just chilling out on a float. I wouldn't white water raft or anything crazy like that! I'm sure you'd find it very relaxing to hang around a pool for a while (takes a lot of pressure off your back!!). And if you are worried about what could be lurking for bacteria in non-chlorinated water, you still could get on board on shore (like up to your knees) and take it easy on the lake! Can I go swimming while I'm pregnant?
Just wondering if I can go swimming when I will be about 30 weeks along? Planning a possible float trip, and wondering if I can float down the river in a tube when I am that far along? First time mommy needing some information, thanks ladies.
