my horse is running through the bit..its getting so bad?
she never use to be this way. she used to be stubborn, but never like this.
she use to be on the bit, now she refuses my leg cues and being on the bit.
I've had the same bit and saddle for over a year.
Shes becoming dangerous kinda.
she'll start taking off trotting really fast and turn circles and try to go the way she wants, and theres no way of stopping her unless i pull on the reins.
Shes due for a teeth float, could this be the reason why shes resisting the bit and acting like this?

First of all, you are using a very severe bit that is also not made to go in any horse's mouth well. The horse can never go on the bit with the mouthpiece you describe due to the shape being flat and also the severe action places the horse behind the bit. Since she is fine on the long lines, I would say the real culprit here is probably your saddle. Horses are constantly changing shape, and a saddle that fit three months ago might not even fit now. Saddles also change shape over time, since the panel flocking needs to be redone every one or two years. Since she has always been stubborn, it is very probable that your saddle never fit her in the first place. And do get her teeth floated so she is more comfortable. Have a professional check your saddle fit and make sure she doesn't have any areas behind her withers that are turning gray. Switch her bit to something softer than what she has been using as well, so that she can learn to not run through it.
