Swimming Equipment

what changes have occurred in swimming equipment?
were trying to found out about how swimming equipment have changed through times.
there are many changes to swimming equipment especially in the last few years:
the changes in swimwear - Unlike regular swimsuits, which are designed mainly for the physical appearances, competitive swimwear is manufactured for the purpose of aiding athletes in swim competitions. They reduce friction and drag in the water, increasing the efficiency of the swimmer's forward motion. The tight fits allow for easy movement and are said to reduce muscle vibration, thus reducing drag. Starting around 2000, in an effort to improve the effectiveness of the swimsuits, engineers have taken to designing them to replicate the skin of sea based animals, sharks in particular.
In July 2009, FINA voted to ban non-textile (non-woven) swimsuits in competitive events from 2010. The new policy was implimented to combat the issues associated with performance inhancing costumes, hindering the ability to accurately measure the performance of swimmers. Subsequently, the new ruling states that men's swimsuits may maximally cover the area from the naval to the knee, and women's counterparts from the shoulder to the knee.
swimming goggles and hats have also changed over time. they are now engineered to reduce drag and therefore help the swimmer to achieve a faster time. Goggles also have a built in anti-fog, scratch resistant and anti leakage.
swimmers are now also timed using OMEGA elctronic timing systems which are accurate. swimming blocks have grips on them and are linked to a computer system that detects movement on the block or a false start.
swimmers now also use training aids such as fins (flippers), kickboards, pullbuoys, paddles, drag shorts and resistance equipment to help them achieve a faster time in competition

From the female pioneers who infiltrated Capitol Hill offices during the Civil War to today`s tech-savvy administrative assistants, secretaries have withstood criticism for abandoning their rightful sphere (the home), weathered the dubious advice of secretarial guide- books, taken hits from feminists and antifeminists alike, and demanded the right to resist making coffee-all while making their bosses look good.In Swimming in the Steno Pool, author-secretary Lynn Peril profiles the various incarnations of the secretary, from pliable, sexy mate of the "office husband" to postfeminist executive-in-training, drawing inspiration from a wide range of "femorabilia" and secretarial guidebooks of yesteryear. Featuring an array of fabulous illus-trations promoting office equipment and office girls alike, Peril delivers a feisty, witty celebration of the women who`ve been running the show for decades.

How to burn 800 calories fast with no exercise equipment?
I'm going home this weekend and usually work out daily to burn 800 calories. How can I achieve this with only a old school treadmill in the house. I also suggested taking my sister swimming and roller blading
Well burning 800 calories will not be a simple task. I suggest drinking water instead of energy drinks that way your not consuming more calories. Also eat after you exercise that way your metabolism will be higher so you burn the food off.
Now for the exercising, that will not be easy. I suggest running one hour twice a day. Also do things you enjoy doing. Go rollerblading, swim some laps, or take a walk with your friend.
Good luck!!
